This policy explains what Block: AI Fitness Planner ("Block", "the app", "we") collects, why, and what happens to it. Block is an AI-assisted strength and conditioning training app.
Information you enter so the app can tailor a plan: age, gender, training experience, general location (a free-text place name such as "Austin, TX"), time zone, preferred weight units, training preferences and notes, and your weekly schedule preferences.
The goals, plans, workouts, exercises, sets, weights, repetitions, effort ratings, notes, equipment and progress metrics you create or log in the app.
Whether your subscription is active, when the current period ends, and the associated store. We never receive or store your payment card details. All payments are processed by Apple; we only learn whether an entitlement is active.
Technical error records generated when something in the app fails, used to find and fix defects.
We do not sell your personal information, share it with data brokers, or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
We share the minimum necessary data with the following processors:

Each provider is bound by its own agreement and may only process data on our instructions. We do not permit them to use your data to train their own models where an opt-out is available to us.
We keep your information for as long as your account exists.
You can permanently delete your account from inside the app: go to Account, then Delete account. This immediately and irreversibly erases your account, profile, training plans, workout history and progress data. Diagnostic error records are retained but permanently stripped of any link to you.
Data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Server credentials are held in a managed secrets vault rather than in application code. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise access and correction directly in the app, and deletion via Account › Delete account. For anything else, contact us using the details below.
If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal basis for processing is the performance of our contract with you (providing the app) and our legitimate interest in keeping it secure and reliable.
Block is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
